Developed to help give young adults, ages 16-18 years, an all-round basic understanding in cookery and the ability to cook for themselves when they go to Uni. Each class stands on its own as a mini, 2-hour course.

There's also an opportunity to expand on cooking skills by adding more classes! Book a block booking of 3 events and build your own course! The events will cover filleting fish, jointing chicken, cooking steak, making pastry and more!

Each student will have their own work station, equipment and ingredients.

Class 1 –  Fish filleting and cooking– Learn how to fillet and skin a fish, how to bread and cook the fish. Learn how to cook two seasonal vegetables, how to make lyonnaise potatoes and how to make crème brulee.

COOKERY LEVEL: Beginners (see further information here).

WHERE: Blackfriars Cookery School

TIMES: 4.30PM – 6.30PM

COST: £29 per person per day, which includes refreshments throughout the class, recipes to take home and the meal they have made. Places are only confirmed once paid in full and are non-refundable or transferable. £79 if booked as a group of three classes.
 
PARENTS & GUARDIANS: are welcome to join the participants for a two-course set dinner in the restaurant after the event for just £21 per person.

WHAT TO WEAR: These sessions get pretty messy so please ensure your child is dressed appropriately! Either bring your own apron or borrow one of ours.

DIETARY REQUIREMENTS: Please let us know if your child has any dietary requirements, conditions we should know about or any other specific requests. Please re-confirm on arrival. All activities will be supervised throughout.

TICKETS & VOUCHERS: please note although we don’t send out physical tickets, you will receive a confirmation from our on-line booking system (note: this will state a table has been booked).
