As comfortingly familiar as pizza and pasta are, there is so much more to Italian cuisine with some of the very best Italian restaurants shunning the obvious for authentic regional specialities such as polenta, risotto, Caponata, Gnocchi and pomodoro sauce. Whatever your preference, let the romantic side of you come out and enjoy an evening of all things Italian.

For home cooks who want to take their cooking to the next level, these group sessions give you a taste of the subject, allow you to go at your  own pace whilst cooking with like-minded individuals in a communal environment and are designed to give you experience, skills and confidence in the kitchen.

Enjoy an evening preparing some delicious food to eat around a communal table at the end of the night with your new found friends! These courses are designed to be relaxed, informative and fun.

COOKERY LEVEL: Beginners – Intermediate. All Wednesday cookery classes are suitable for Beginners who want to learn, Intermediate who want to improve and will be a comfortable workshop for Intermediate + (see further information on cookery levels here). 

Antipasto - Chickpeas with Garlic (Calabria)
Primo - Polenta (Veneto)
Secondo - Sweet & Sour Rabbit (Sicily), Potatoes Cake (Campania)
Contorno - Mushrooms in White Wine (Veneto), Poached Egg in Tomato (Piedmont & Valle d’Aosta), Stuffed Aubergine Rolls (Apulia)
Dolce - Zabaglione (Piedmont & Valle d’Aosta).

WHERE: Blackfriars Cookery School

TIMES: 6-9pm

COST: £45 per person per evening/£229 for a six week block which includes all your food produce, refreshments and meal to take home. Payment upon booking. Places are only confirmed once paid in full and are non-refundable or transferable.

WHAT TO BRING: Aprons are provided though please arrive in comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting a bit messy. Otherwise, just bring your enthusiasm!

DIETARY REQUIREMENTS: Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements, conditions we should know about or any other specific requests.

TICKETS & VOUCHERS: please note although we don’t send out physical tickets, you will receive a confirmation from our on-line booking system (note: this will state a table has been booked).
We simply add bookings to our internal diary so we know to expect you. However, if you would like to receive a voucher as a gift, simply select the postage option below for £1.50, and a voucher will be posted out to your selected delivery address.
