Wednesday cookery club - Chinese crackers

Gourmets believe Chinese to be one of the three major world cuisines - and gastronomy has been regarded as a high art in China for well over 2,000 years where food is always judged on its specific temperature and tastes - pungent, sweet, sour, bitter and salty -  such that Confucius stated if food wasn’t in perfect balance, man would not eat!  The geography and cultural differences of China are so vast, this will be no more than an introduction but we’ll do our best with rice, noodles, soy, garlic, ginger, pork and shrimp.

For home cooks who want to take their cooking to the next level, these group sessions give you a taste of Chinese cuisine, allow you to go at your  own pace whilst cooking with like-minded individuals in a communal environment and are designed to give you experience, skills and confidence in the kitchen.


Enjoy an evening preparing some delicious food to eat around a communal table at the end of the night with your new found friends! These courses are designed to be relaxed, informative and fun.

COST: £45 per person per evening/£229 for a six week block which includes all your food produce, refreshments and meal to take home. Payment upon booking. Places are only confirmed once paid in full and are non-refundable or transferable.

WHAT TO BRING: Aprons can be borrowed though please arrive in comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting a bit messy. And bring your enthusiasm!
