Evening Cookery Club - Fish & Seafood from Bengal

The cuisine of Bengal in the Eastern part of India is known for its subtle yet fiery flavours. With an emphasis on fish, vegetables and lentils, served with rice, this is also a beautifully vibrant and healthy cuisine. Here’s your chance to try your hand at creating dishes such as Chingri Malai curry, Baigan Bhaja, and Patishapta.


Expect recipes like: Chapputi, Benigan Bhaji, Chingri Malai Curry, Sorshe Bata Ilish Mach, Panch Phoron, ChomChom, Patishapta.

For home cooks who want to take their cooking to the next level, each student will have their own work station, equipment and ingredients to work with. Allowing you to go at your own pace and are designed to give you experience, skills and confidence in the kitchen.

Enjoy an evening preparing some delicious food which you will be able to eat during strategic breaks or to take home to enjoy in front of the T.V.! These courses are designed to be relaxed, informative and fun.

COOKERY LEVEL: Beginners – Intermediate. All WCC are suitable for Beginners who want to learn, Intermediate who want to improve and will be a comfortable workshop for Intermediate + (see further information on cookery levels here). 

WHERE: Blackfriars Cookery School

TIMES: 6-9pm

COST: £65 per person per evening which includes all your food produce, and meal to take home and simple refreshments during the class. Places are only confirmed once paid in full and are non-refundable or transferable.

WHAT TO BRING: Aprons are provided though please arrive in comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting a bit messy. Otherwise, just bring your enthusiasm!
