Evening Cookery Club - Ethiopian

Ethiopian cuisine is as old as it is broad - taking its cues from the whole African plain. Typically including spicy vegetable, lentil and meat dishes in the form of a spicy wat curry made using chilli powder berbere served atop of an injera sourdough flatbread. It’s delicious as it is simple and definitely one not to be missed. You’ll even get to enjoy a traditional strong Ethiopian coffee afterwards.

Expect recipes such as: Anebabero Injera, Fasting Platter – Eggplant Dip, Tomato Salad, Sauteed Kale, Hot Pepper Pot with Black Chickpeas and Tandem Leaf, Ethiopian Doro Wat, Vegetable Rice Pilaf with Toasted Sunflower Seed.                                
For home cooks who want to take their cooking to the next level, each student will have their own work station, equipment and ingredients to work with. Allowing you to go at your own pace and are designed to give you experience, skills and confidence in the kitchen.

Enjoy an evening preparing some delicious food which you will be able to eat during strategic breaks or to take home to enjoy in front of the T.V.! These courses are designed to be relaxed, informative and fun.

COOKERY LEVEL: Beginners – Intermediate. All WCC are suitable for Beginners who want to learn, Intermediate who want to improve and will be a comfortable workshop for Intermediate + (see further information on cookery levels here). 

WHERE: Blackfriars Cookery School

TIMES: 6-9pm

COST: £65 per person per evening which includes all your food produce, and meal to take home and simple refreshments during the class. Places are only confirmed once paid in full and are non-refundable or transferable.

WHAT TO BRING: Aprons are provided though please arrive in comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting a bit messy. Otherwise, just bring your enthusiasm!
