Over £1,200 raised so far but there’s further to go!
Following your incredible generosity last year when we raised some much needed funds for St Oswald’s Hospice, Andy Hook, owner of Blackfriars, is now training hard for the second of two gruelling triathlons. In May he completed the New Forest Triathlon, and later this month he’ll do the same in the cold North Sea at Bamburgh for the Northumberland Castle’s Triathlon.
Both events are in aid of the Evening Chronicle Sunshine Fund, which helps disabled North East children and their families, including Blackfriars restaurant manager Liam MacDonald’s four year-old son Aidan who has cerebral palsy. Despite working long, hard hours, Liam's up every morning before 6am for Aidan's gruelling physio session.
The cost of special shoes and equipment is a real drain on Liam and Vikki so it'd be great if we could help them out. If you’d like to sponsor Andy, please click here. All donations, however small, will be very much appreciated.
